In November 2023 I was nominated from our University to participate in the ISPO Academy masterclass in Munich. The Design Challenge 2023 focused on Circularity, which is a major topic in the current discussions about the transformation of the clothing and textile industries. During the workshop, we had time to develop our project in 2 days.
We worked in groups of four and in my team I was lucky to have talented colleagues from Switzerland, Germany and Finland. Our team work was pleasant and communication easy going.
Our take on circularity was to upcycle preloved items into new garments and rent them trough our website. Outagain, an upcycling and second hand shop.
My part in this project was to create the platform using Figma. First I dud some benchmarking on Behance and Pinterest. Then I sketched the website wireframes for our platform and as the project evolved the website evolved with it.
Final product was a website / platform for rental, upcycling and repairing services. We presented our project together on Wednesday 29th of November to public in ISPO Munich 2023.
I enjoyed my time with the team and other fellow design students. I got to practise my designing skills on Figma and my cooperation and organising skills during team work. I am pleased for our results of our design project. We all had a chance to practise our expertise skills. I feel extremely grateful for being part of this workshop.
Thank you Adrianne, Katariina, Yann and Nora!
